Home + Tim Simenon and Daniel Miller

'Home' came off the 'Ultra' album which was the first DM album after Alan Wilder's departure.  As Alan had such a hand in the overall sound of DM, fans wondered how the new music would shape up. Tim Simenon from English dance act 'Bomb the Bass' was hired as producer and played a very influencial role on Ultra.  Tim had previously remixed 'Everything Counts' and 'Strangelove'.

I would have liked Tim to continue producing DM, as the current production team doesn't really 'get it' I don't think.  'Ultra' is an under-rated album.  It has some very strong songs, some excellent electonica, and some excellent performances.  It also features more input from Daniel Miller- Mute records boss and producer of much of DM's early work.
